From Insight to Action: BCTA Connects Bahamian Entrepreneurs with China’s Supply Chain Ecosystem
In July 2025, the Bahamas-China Trade Association (BCTA) organized a customized delegation visit for Bahamian business leaders to explore China’s advanced supply chain systems. The program aimed to provide first-hand insights into how China’s manufacturing, logistics, and fulfillment ecosystems operate — and how Caribbean enterprises can integrate with them for strategic growth.

The delegation included senior executives and entrepreneurs from key Bahamian industries such as construction materials, retail, food processing, e-commerce, and transportation. Tailored by BCTA to meet the group’s interests, the itinerary covered major industrial and logistics hubs in Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu.
Participants visited smart warehouses, ERP-integrated factories, e-commerce fulfillment centers, shipping terminals, and logistics tech companies. These visits offered a rare look into the end-to-end supply chain — from production planning to last-mile delivery.
“We’ve shifted from browsing catalogs to witnessing operations in real time,” said a representative from a leading Bahamian retail group. “This experience is instrumental in helping us build efficient procurement models and long-term supply strategies.”
The trip also featured a China-Bahamas Supply Chain Matchmaking meeting, where Bahamian delegates met directly with Chinese manufacturers, logistics providers, and platform operators. Topics discussed included OEM partnerships, integrated warehousing and distribution, raw material sourcing, and shared shipping corridors.
BCTA reaffirmed its commitment to delivering end-to-end services — from on-site visits to business matchmaking and project execution — helping Caribbean companies engage more deeply with China’s industrial networks, while offering Chinese firms a reliable path into Caribbean markets.
